The MBA in Finance programme provides you with all knowledge and skills needed to become a future-ready financial leader with strong strategic, analytical and leadership capabilities. Learn to master core areas of finance, understand the latest industry developments, and apply strategic and analytical skills in a global business context. Curriculum

The programme is structured across 6 blocks and focuses on the key themes of Strategy & Management, Leadership, Asset Management, Corporate Finance, FinTech, Data & Innovation, and Internationalisation. To graduate, you complete all core curriculum courses and choose at least 4 finance electives and at least 2 business electives.

Take individual modules from the MBA programme

You have the option to take individual modules from our MBA programme. This allows you to deepen or broaden your expertise in a specific area of finance. Each module provides in-depth knowledge on key themes within the field. All classes are on campus, so a valid visa for the Netherlands is required.

The Amsterdam Leadership Programme is our personal coaching programme. It helps you to develop your personal and professional leadership skills through lectures, workshops and intervision sessions. The focus is on exploring your own leadership styles, strengths, and development areas. You will:

  • focus on the skills needed to grow professionally within an organisation;
  • learn specific skills relevant to personal goals;
  • network with an influential employee;
  • share both frustrations and successes.

Balanced mix of theory and practice 

Our lecturers combine strong academic expertise with extensive experience in the financial sector. You also learn from your international classmates, who bring a wide range of professional backgrounds to the classroom. The programme challenges you to think critically in theoretical discussions and immediately apply new knowledge to real-life business cases and within your own organisation. This way, you develop the skills and mindset needed to become a leader in finance.

Learn by doing

Hands-on learning is central to the programme. You will, for example:

  • develop a business plan in Entrepeneurship & Innovation.
  • explore asset management theory with industry experts in Advanced Asset Management.
  • solve a real-life business case in Mergers & Acquisitions and present your work to leading professionals in the field.
