Why choose the Executive MBA?

  • Combine work and study and choose your format

The EMBA allows you to combine work and study through evening classes twice a week (18:30 to 22:00). Together with class preparation, casework and assignments, the EMBA requires about 25 hours a week. EMBA students choose their study format prior to starting the programme. You can choose between an on-campus or hybrid format. This means that you will either be on-campus for 80% of your educational activities, or 80% online (hybrid).

  • Small interactive classes

In small classes, with around 35 candidates, you can fully interact with fellow students and our lecturers. Depending on the choice of the format prior to starting the programme, students can attend classes in an on-campus or hybrid format.

It is highly recommended that students can easily travel/commute to Amsterdam to follow the on-campus activities. Please keep your own time zone in mind, as classes are taught from 18:30 - 22:00 CE(S)T.

  • Customised to your individual career ambitions

During the programme you work on your personal career goals. Through one-on-one coaching, electives and training courses, you develop your capabilities both personally and professionally. You have various opportunities to enhance your career skills, supported by our ICF certified EMBA Career Partners.

  • Network oriented in a multidisciplinary environment

Get connected to our devoted academic experts, who are always up-to-date with the latest scientific developments and contribute to their fields by conducting academic research. Furthermore, you will get to know business executives, who will share their industry experiences during guest lectures.

During your EMBA, you will be involved in our international alumni community and you will have the opportunity to attend networking events. This way, it will be easy to get in touch with alumni who work at leading national and international companies.

  • International with diverse backgrounds

We limit our cohorts and want students with extensive work experience in various industries and highly international backgrounds. With a strong focus on peer learning, you will learn as much from them as from our instructors, bringing together in-depth industry experience and world-class academic reputation.

  • Internationally recognised MBA title

Earning your MBA title at the Amsterdam Business School means you will have studied at one of the best business schools in the world:

    • We belong to the 1% of business schools worldwide that are Triple Crown accredited.
    • Our EMBA is ranked in the top 100 of European Executive MBA’s in the 2021 Financial Times Ranking.
    • We are part of the University of Amsterdam, one of the few Dutch universities ranked in the global top 100 of QS Rankings and the Times Higher Education World University Ranking.
