The goal of the EPMS is to develop future leaders in business and society. Part of this preparation is the adherence to the standards of the EPMS Honour Code. This code applies to all EPMS students, teachers and staff in their behavior towards each other.

By submitting your application for the EPMS programme you will commit yourself to the following:

• I commit to treat others respectfully, regardless of differences such as religion, nationality, ethnicity, gender, marital status, personal appearance, gender identity or expression, familial status, family responsibilities, political affiliation, source of income, disability, or other legally protected classes.

• I commit to the highest standards of honesty and personal integrity both inside and outside the classroom to fellow students, staff, faculty, employers, recruiters and guests of the university.

• I commit to open discourses and the free exchange of ideas.

• I commit to exercise mutual care and responsibility in all relationships with fellow students, faculty, and university staff members.

• I commit to be present and act professionally at university-related events on- and off-campus.

• I commit to uphold academic integrity and pursue my work in an ethical manner.

• I commit to comply with all applicable programme rules, policies, procedures and the Teaching and Examination Regulations.

• I commit to an active concern for the safety, security, and well-being of everyone and a respect for individual, communal and university property.

• I commit to professional communication standards and politeness.

• I commit to punctuality as well as timely submissions and responses.

• I commit to protecting the privacy of students and staff and will not share their personal details with third parties without their permission.

• I will use attendance lists in an honest way and only write down my own name. I will not fill in names of students that were not present.

Plagiarism

• I will appropriately acknowledge all help received and sources used.

• I will not plagiarise. Rewriting material to change the surface structure only is not sufficient to avoid plagiarism. In all writing, sources are shown as formal references. Direct quotes are explicitly sourced. If the idea of someone else is used, the origin of the idea must be stated.

Teamwork

• I commit to deliver the group contribution that was agreed on in the group and I will not take credit (or grades) for outcomes that I did not contribute to.

Violations

Upon witnessing a violation of the Honour Code, a student has a moral obligation to either inform the student whose conduct is believed to be in violation of the code or Programme Management, that the Code has been violated. All reports are treated as strictly confidential.
