The Amsterdam MBA comes in 3 different formats:
Full-time | Earn your MBA within 12 months. You spend around 40-50 hours per week on your studies. |
Executive MBA (EMBA) | If you wish to pursue an MBA degree alongside your regular employment, we offer the option to study part-time for 2 evenings per week and earn your MBA degree in 24 months. |
Hybrid MBA | In this part-time Hybrid MBA you can follow classes from home (online) but still engage in various on-campus activities. Ideal choice when travelling to our campus on a regular basis does not fit into your schedule. You will study part-time for 2 evenings per week and earn your MBA degree in 24 months. |
The Executive MBA starts in September.
The programme allows you to combine work and study with live online evening classes twice a week on 2 non-consecutive days (18:30 - 22:00), meaning Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesdays and Thursdays.
You can earn your MBA degree within 24 months.
Together with class preparation, casework and assignments, the EMBA requires about 25 hours a week.
Upon completing the programme, you will receive an official recognised Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
The Executive MBA is accredited by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO).
Amsterdam Business School is part of a select group with a 'Triple Crown', accredited by AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS. Worldwide, only 1% of all business schools/faculties with business programmes have managed to achieve this prestigious status.
The admissions process is a 3-step process:
After the interview round, you will hear the final decision within 10 working days.
The Amsterdam Business School has a rolling admissions process, meaning that you can apply throughout the year. Your application deadline depends on if you want to apply for a part-time or full-time programme.
The tuition fee is €45,000. The tuition fee is the same for all students, both Dutch/EU and non-EU. The fee covers the whole programme including courses, the international study trip, use of the MBA facilities, coffee, university registration, the enrolment fee and the examination fees. The fee does not cover textbooks and software (approx. €500-750), visa costs, living expenses and accommodation.
You can pay your tuition fee in equal instalments spread across the duration of the programme (a total of 3 instalments for full-time students and 6 instalments for part-time students).
We offer both scholarships and discounts.
One of the possibilities is the Lifelong Learning Credit (Levenlanglerenkrediet). This is a loan for tuition fees from the Dutch government for local and foreign professionals living and working in the Netherlands.
Another option is to convince your employer to finance your study. Following an MBA does not only have benefits for you as a student, but also for your employer.
Both are part-time programmes and the curriculum of the two formats is the same. The Hybrid format is 80% online and 20% on-campus, the on-campus format is 80% on-campus, 20% online.
Yes, it's mandatory to have a job or own a company while following the Executive MBA programme.
If you don't live in the Netherlands you can still follow the EMBA in the hybrid format. However, since you will have to be on campus for 7 to 9 times a year it is advisable to live in a manageable travel distance.
For the hybrid format you are expected to be on campus approximately 7 to 9 times a year.
You will not be able to obtain a student visa for the EMBA programme so you need a work permit or different kind of visa to be able to stay in the Netherlands.
You can keep working full time while following the MBA programme. We recommend to take into account that the EMBA takes around 25 hours per week, so many of our students reduce the amount of working hours, or negotiate with their company to spend some working hours on their MBA. It depends on your personal situation whether it is possible to keep working 100%.
