Students with a non-Dutch high school degree are sometimes required to take an extra mathematics proficiency test. This mathematics test shows if your mathematical entry-level is equivalent to the Dutch VWO high school degree and assess whether the chosen programme is a good fit.
The test is taken online using Proctorio and organised by the university of Amsterdam. Information about the practice test and Proctorio will be provided a week before the test.
The test consists of 6 questions plus sub-questions and lasts 2.5 hours. You will have an additional 30 minutes to upload your test and scrap paper.
You are allowed to use a pen/pencil and scrap paper, but a calculator is prohibited.
To pass the test, you must obtain a minimum score of 60 out of 100 points. Both your final answer and the calculations are counted towards your score. You can only take this test once.
After the Admissions Office has evaluated your application, you will receive an email with the information and test date. There is no possibility to change dates.
Due to housing and immigration deadlines, we will not offer any new date after 30 April to non-EU applicants and 28 May to EU applicants. If you have any other questions, please send an email to email@example.com
