Strategy & International Business

As part of the University of Amsterdam Business School the Strategy & International Business section is a leader in providing internationally recognised research and actionable insights. Examining the role business and organisations have in society, the section specifically fosters a steady exchange between theory and practice to better equip executives with the information they need to explore the effect their organisations have on internal and external stakeholders alike.

The Strategy & International Business section is home to more than 40 distinguished faculty members and international business experts, who oversee and direct a variety of undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and post-doctoral programmes. Although the Strategy & International Business section has grown substantially over the recent years, further growth is expected.

Research and education

At our Strategy & International Business section, managers in organisations are considered the central actors. One of our main areas of focus in both research and education is examining the role of business and organisations in regards to corporate governance, social responsibility and sustainability. Another increasingly important focus is digital transformation and innovation strategy. The section is committed to providing high-quality education at all levels, from undergraduate (BSc) to PhD level and Executive Education.
