A BSIS committee visited UvA Economics and Business in October 2023 to conduct an impact assessment. BSIS assesses the impact an organisation has on its immediate surroundings (for example, UvA EB and the Randstad). Due to its positive impact, UvA EB is now on the list of BSIS labelled schools.

The BSIS Assessment is organised by the (EFMD), the same organisation that handles the EQUIS accreditation. The assessment covers 7 dimensions of impact:

  • Financial impact
  • Educational impact
  • Impact on business development
  • Intellectual impact (research)
  • Impact within the regional ecosystem
  • Social impact
  • Reputational impact

The BSIS certificate reflects the committee's findings that UvA EB has a significant impact on society and business in the region.
