MIF Programme

As I was looking at options to better internationalize my career, the MIF programme seemed to be a good match with my goals and a good launching pad for an international career in finance.  While many courses had some international flavour to them, the main benefit was a diverse group of professors and students from all over the world.

International Character

The ABS offers high quality course work in the heart of Amsterdam.  Their focus on international students and numerous study programmes makes for an ideal environment not only to meet other finance students but also Dutch and international students studying other fields of business.

Amsterdam is one of the most international cities in the world and ideal for an international finance programme.  If you want something different from the typical study programme in London or the US,  then Amsterdam is a great setting.

The wide range of electives offered allows students to pursue their interests.  A focus on interaction both in teams and during lectures makes for a more interesting environment where I could deepen relationships with students and professors. The professors and staff gave a lot of personal attention and enjoyed interacting with students.

The students of the MIF program were the most diverse, international group of people I have ever been a part of.  One quickly learns to respect and adapt to the different cultural backgrounds of such a group.

Career Perspectives

The MIF gave me the opportunity and tools to work in an international company that furthers my career goals. I still stay in touch with a number of former students and value their friendship and the insights of their chosen careers.

My goals following the MIF are to focus and develop a career in investment management within a global setting.
