Executive MSc in International Finance (MIF)

Application and admission

From application to enrolment it takes only 5 steps. The admission process for our Executive MSc in International Finance (MIF) programme has been designed to be fast and convenient.

Admission process

You can apply for the MIF online. Before you start your application, please check whether you are eligible and/or join one of our information sessions.

You are expected to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • A degree from a recognised research university in a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years' relevant post-graduate full-time work experience.
  • A proof of analytical skills, e.g. GMAT, GRE, LTP or Executive Assessment.

5-step admission process

  • Step 1: Check your eligibility

Before applying, we would like to ask you to please read our admission requirements carefully. If you are not sure whether you meet the criteria, please take the first step in the application process by completing the CV Quick Scan. The admissions team will respond to your CV Quick Scan within 3 working days and inform you about your eligibility and further instructions on how to apply.

  • Step 2: Online application

In order to complete your online application, prepare the following documents:

    • Passport copy
    • 1-page CV
    • Motivation statement. In the application form we ask you to answer 4 short questions about your motivation and decision for applying to the programme.
    • Copies of transcripts and related diplomas from your highest completed degree. All transcripts not in Dutch or English must be accompanied by a certified English translation.
    • Analytical test results: GMAT/GRE/Executive Assessment (if applicable)
    • English proficiency test results: TOEFL/IELTS (if applicable)

Additionally, we require 2 professional references from a current or former manager, supervisor, client or senior colleague. In the online form, you will be asked to provide their names and contact details, and they will receive access to submit their forms separately.

  • Step 3: Analytical and Soft Skill Test

After you have submitted your application, your application documents will be reviewed. If your application is in order, you will be invited to take our LTP test. Information about this test will be provided with the invitation. In basic, it is a combination of an IQ test and a soft-skill test. You can prepare, but you do not have to study for it. The results of the soft skill test will tell us more about your motives and work style and will be discussed during the interview. Taking the test costs approximately 2 hours and costs €150.

  • Step 4: Admission interview

The following step is the admission interview. Interviews are scheduled via video calls. Interviews take 30-40 minutes and are conducted by an admissions board member who has reviewed your application files. The interview will focus on your skill set, motivation and professional goals.

  • Step 5: Final decision

Within 10 working days after the interview, the admissions board decides on your admission to the Executive MSc in International Finance (MIF) programme.

We are looking forward to reviewing your application and hopefully inviting you to join the class starting in September.
