Financial aid

Read all about waivers, loans and scholarships available from UvA and external organisations.

  • MIF GMAT-based waiver

    In order to attract the best and brightest students from all over the world, we have GMAT-based waivers available. These are based on high GMAT scores and can range between €1,000 and €10,000 for scores starting at 640. If you have a GRE score, it will be converted into a GMAT score.

    This waiver cannot be combined with other discounts such as the Early-Bird discount. You have to indicate on your application form that you wish to apply for the waiver. The deadline for applications is 1 May.

  • CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) waiver

    Our MIF programme is the only academic partner of CAIA in the Netherlands. We offer a waiver of €3,000 to CAIA charterholders for the academic year beginning September. If you have completed a minimum of one CAIA level you may apply for this waiver.

  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) waiver

    The MIF is an academic programme partner. Therefore, we can offer a waiver of €3,000 on our Executive MSc in International Finance programme to CFA charterholders for the academic year beginning September. If you have completed a minimum of one CFA level you may apply for this waiver.

  • Scholarship programmes from governments

    The Dutch Ministry of Education and Sciences offers scholarships covering costs of living expenses within the framework of cultural agreements between the Netherlands and other countries. You can get information from your local Dutch embassy or consulate, or you can check Nuffic or www.grantfinder.nl.

    Scholarship programmes from your own government

    We advise you to contact and inquire with grant-giving institutions and foundations in your home country. In many countries, there are substantial funds available for students planning to study abroad. Check www.grantfinder.nl.

  • Orange Tulip Scholarships (OTS)

    The Orange Tulip Scholarship Programme (OTS) gives talented students in several Nuffic NESO (Netherlands Education Support Offices) countries the opportunity and support to study in The Netherlands.

    The Amsterdam Business School participates in the OTS Programme, providing €10,760 tuition waiver  through the local Nuffic NESO office for full-time candidates for the Executive MSc in International Finance.

    Participating countries: Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, Russia, Vietnam.

    OTS application deadline: 1 April 2020.

    Please note:

    • You must be a passport holder and current resident of the participating country.
    • With your application for this scholarship you need to deliver GMAT results.
    • The OTS scholarship cannot be combined with other discounts, waivers or scholarships.

  • Other financial aid: loans, additional scholarships

    Various other forms of financial aid are available to students who'd like to study at the Amsterdam Business School. Foreign loan programmes provide an option for international students to fund their application.
