Admission requirements
Directly admissible
- MSc, RA, RC or RO title
Candidates holding an MSc, RA, RO or RC title are directly admitted to the programme.
Intake interview required
- HBO Bachelor’s degree
If you hold a relevant HBO Bachelor's degree, your eligibility and admission conditions will be determined based on your CV and an intake interview.
RA, RC and RO titles
Registered accountants (RAs), registered controllers (RCs) and registered operational auditors (ROs) can take a shortened programme. Interested in the shortened programme? Please contact us at auditingstudies@uva.nl.
How to apply for this Master's
1. Check your eligibility
Submit your CV, and we will check if you are eligible for this programme. We will respond within 3 business days.
If you meet the criteria, you will receive an invitation to officially apply via our online application tool.

2. Gather the required documents
To complete your application, you need to upload the following documents:
- a scan of your passport;
- your CV;
- scans of your diplomas and transcripts.

3. After admission
If you are admitted, you will receive information about practical matters and the next steps in the registration process.
Tuition fees

*For an extension year, the tuition fees is €3,000 per semester.
Early bird discount
Apply before 15 May and receive a 10% early bird discount on the tuition fees.
Costs and funding
What is included?
The annual tuition fees covers all courses, exams and use of the online library. The costs of study books are not included and amount to approximately €2,000.
Payments
Once you begin, you will receive the invoice for the tuition fees. You can pay the tuition fees in instalments.
Lifelong learning credit
DUO offers a loan for tuition fees for local and foreign professionals living and working in the Netherlands (Lifelong learning credit). For more information, please check the DUO website.
UvA alumni discount
UvA alumni receive a 10% discount on tuition fees.
