The rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence tools are reshaping the nature of employees’ work. While research has largely focused on organizationally driven AI implementations—highlighting how AI automates and augments tasks to influence work processes—less attention has been given to employees' proactive, bottom-up use of AI. This project aims to explore how employees independently use AI in their daily work as a form of job crafting. Specifically, we investigate the various purposes of Gen-AI usage, its role in shaping job demands and resources, and its impact on work outcomes such as meaningfulness of work.
