ABS scholar named Editor-in-Chief of leading journal

Professor Corine Boon (Leadership and Management section) has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of the journal 'Human Resource Management Review' (HRMR). Her term with HRMR starts this month (January 2026).

Boon is Professor of Human Resource Management (HRM) at the University of Amsterdam Business School and Director of the Amsterdam People Analytics Centre. She is internationally recognised for her research in strategic HRM, HR systems and people analytics, with a particular focus on the impact of artificial intelligence on organisations and employees.

Editorial experience

Her work has been published in leading international journals, including Journal of Management, Human Resource Management and the International Journal of Human Resource Management. In addition to her academic contributions, Boon brings extensive editorial experience to her new role. She has previously served as Associate Editor for several major HR journals and has held leadership positions within the Dutch HRM Network and the Academy of Management’s HR Division.

Boon will now lead Human Resource Management Review into its next phase, strengthening its role in advancing theory and shaping the global research agenda in human resource management.
