'The lecturers encouraged students to think critically'

Miu Fong Lam (Hong Kong) - Digital Marketing

'I chose the University of Amsterdam for its reputation and its international students. Also, because Amsterdam is one of my favourite cities and I wanted to study Digital Marketing.'

'Although this was not the best moment to study, the programme has offered a great competitive and challenging curriculum in different assignments. The lecturers encouraged students to think critically and students were very enthusiastic. The programme has definitely met my expectations.'

'The programme turned out not only theoretical, but also very practical. We learned how to apply the theories into complex real-life business cases. For me the highlight of the programme was the business seminar series in Royal Theatre Carré. Hearing business leaders sharing their stories in a beautiful theatre in Amsterdam was inspiring.'

'It's without hesitation that studying in Amsterdam is remarkable. The experience of riding your bike through the narrow streets of Amsterdam and alongside the canals is impressive and unforgettable. The city is very dynamic and people are open to making friends.'

'I help the faculty to promote my Master’s programme and answer questions from future university students. I am also doing an internship at the Information Technology department of Shell, to help run an internal communication campaign to improve user engagement of Shell's Enterprise Technology.'

'Hopefully upon completing my Master's programme, the travel restriction will be lifted and I would like to travel a bit through Europe. Graduating from a Dutch university grants me a search-year visa with the opportunity to search for a job in the Netherlands, so I am hoping to stay and work in an international company in the Netherlands.'
