'Expanding your horizons through meeting people from all over the world is a definite advantage of studying in Amsterdam'

Chrystalla Panteli (Cyprus) - Digital Marketing

'For my Bachelor's programme I chose Business Administration, as it is quite a generic degree. For my Master's programme I wanted to specialise in marketing. I chose the University of Amsterdam because it is quite prestigious in the Netherlands and the world, which means that their education is of high quality. Also, they offered a Digital Marketing track.'

'The programme met my expectations, despite taking it during the pandemic. The lecturers were all very nice and willing to answer our questions. The courses were mostly practical and followed recent academic articles as teaching materials, therefore the information we received contained the most recent developments in the field. One of the reasons I enjoy this programme is that the students are mostly internationals. I love meeting people from all over the world and creating connections that will last a lifetime no matter in which part of the world each of us is.'

'I cannot even imagine what it is like to study at the Amsterdam Business School in person. I experienced the whole year from Amsterdam but have only been to a physical class 4 times. That is my only regret of following a Master’s during the pandemic. I did not get a chance to fully experience student life in Amsterdam.'

'I love studying in Amsterdam and in the Netherlands in general. The education we receive is very new and on top of each field. You get to make your own schedule of classes, so you can have time for a part-time job, internship, pick up a new hobby, explore the city, and meet new people. Expanding your horizons through meeting people from all over the world and growing as a person is a definite advantage of studying in Amsterdam.'

'While studying in Amsterdam I was an ambassador for the Economics and Business faculty. Throughout the year I helped multiple prospective students with various questions and inquiries about the application process, the programme, and the life in the Netherlands. Moreover, I found a part-time job with a start-up company through the university job board.'

'Once I successfully complete this Master's programme I plan to find a job in Amsterdam and work here for a while. Amsterdam offers a lot of opportunities for young people and recent graduates. I am certain that my degree will help me in getting a good first job here in the Netherlands.'
