Naomi Moonen is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam. Her research interests span entrepreneurship, strategy, and innovation. In her research, she focuses on new venture evaluation and decision-making under uncertainty, venture positioning and access to funding, and the impact of AI and data science on entrepreneurship. She uses quantitative and computational methods, including econometrics and natural language processing, to study entrepreneurs, new ventures, and their investors.

Prior to joining the University of Amsterdam, Naomi obtained her PhD from Tilburg University. During her PhD, she was a visiting PhD student at IE University (2024). She holds a joint Master's degree in Data Science and Entrepreneurship from Eindhoven University of Technology and Tilburg University (2020) and a Bachelor of Science from Maastricht University (2018).
