Panikos Georgallis is an Associate Professor of Strategy at the Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam (UvA). He holds a PhD in Strategic Management from HEC Paris.
Panikos' research examines why firm strategies are differentially affected by their social, political, and natural environment; and how firm heterogeneity matters for broader social systems, such as markets and communities. His work focuses on sustainability contexts and typically deals with how firms interact with social movements and governments.
Panikos' work has been published in leading journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Science, and Journal of International Business Studies among others. His papers have received several best paper awards and finalist positions at AOM and other major conferences, and his research has been covered in practitioner and policy outlets (e.g. EU Research Journal, Open Access Government, The Gulf Times, LSE Business Review). Panikos is also a recipient of several grants, including the Strategy Research Foundation Dissertation Scholars Grant and the prestigious Dutch NWO Veni grant.
