The members of the jury were Prof. Nachoem Wijnberg, Prof. David Veenman and Prof. Frank Belschak. The jury found that the thesis explored highly relevant and current topics and stated that the author used state of the art empirical methods in finance.
‘Döttlings thesis combines finance and macro. It is especially interesting that phenomena such as the implementation/dominance of ICT in businesses’ production processes have direct implications for the valuation of assets by investors (and the businesses themselves).’ According to the jury, that is a novel insight that is expertly developed and substantiated.
