This research work is a part of the Indo-Dutch Project titled “The Kumbh Mela Experiment: Measuring and Understanding the dynamics of mankind’s largest crowd”. Human crowds are complex systems and so predicting their behavior is challenging. However, the combination of computational modeling and data collection through questionnaire may provides insights in how  crowds can be managed. Taking the case study of Kumbh Mela in Ujjain, India, this work will focus on optimization of time, optimization of number of visits and its effect on the level of happiness ,spiritual satisfaction and safety .
