The influence of corporate strategies on stakeholder attitudes and behaviour

Stakeholder behavior is an important variable of interest in the field of stakeholder strategy. Namely, scholars persuasively argue that stakeholder behavior mediates the relationship between firms’ stakeholder management strategies, and firm performance. Nonetheless, the influence of corporate strategies on stakeholder behavior is under-investigated and little is known about the influence of corporate strategies on cooperative and punitive stakeholder behavior, meaning stakeholder behavior that, respectively, positively and negatively influences value creation. This project investigates the influence of corporate strategies on cooperative and punitive stakeholder attitudes and behavior, and how stakeholders’ moral orientation can play a role in this.
