A matter of trust: the effect of the duty of care on Dutch investment advisers

Financial institutions are increasingly responsible confronted with the obligation to care for their clients. This care constitutes of a mix of legislature, administrative rules and other obligations used by the government and supervisory institutions to force companies to look after their clients interests. In this dissertation we focus on the relation between investment-advisers and the private investor.
