Anne Hadler
Anne Hadler is an IT Professional and Manager at Atos, a Global Leader in IT and Digital Transformation. After having studied IT Management and Politics she is driven by the challenge on how to use technical innovations of all means, such as Digitization, to improve and change Organizations and Business. Since 2017 Anne is responsible Lead for the Digital Business at Atos in the Benelux and Northern Europe Region.

Ron Wit
Economist Ron Wit is director of Public Affairs at Eneco Group. Before starting at Eneco in 2013, he headed the Climate and Energy department of the Dutch Nature & Environment Foundation for eight years. At the National Energy Agreement negotiations in 2013, Ron represented Dutch environmental NGOs.

Ron headed the economics department at CE Delft, where he consulted on projects for international companies, the European Commission, the United Nations, national government bodies and NGOs. In addition, Ron served as special advisor to the European Commission and was Lead Author of the IPCC's Fourth Assessment Report in 2007. He is on the board of the NVDE (Dutch Association for Sustainable Energy) and on the strategic board of Energy Valley.

Frans van Houten

Frans van Houten
Frans van Houten is CEO of Royal Philips, a position he has held since April 2011. As CEO, he is also Chairman of the Board of Management and the Executive Committee. He drives Philips’ strategic agenda to provide healthcare technology solutions in support of seamless, patient-centred care across the health continuum, starting with healthy living and prevention, precision diagnosis and personalized treatment, through to care in the home – where the cycle to healthy living begins again.
Frans first joined Philips in 1986 and has held multiple global leadership positions across the company on three continents, including the role of co-CEO of the Consumer Electronics division.

His team has driven the transformation and revitalization of the Philips portfolio to become a focused health technology company through targeted divestment, acquisition and organic growth. 
Frans was named one the world’s top 20 business leaders in 2017 by influential global business magazine, Fortune. Its citation stated: “We lean toward CEOs with a vision — those impacting the world beyond their companies. The 20-star executives are doing nothing less than defining the future of business.”

Barbara Baarsma

Barbara Baarsma
Barbara Baarsma is CEO of Rabobank Amsterdam and Professor of Applied Economics at UvA Economics and Business. Moreover, she is a Crown member of the Social and Economic Council of the Netherlands and chairman of the Bank Council of the Dutch Central Bank (Bankraad van DNB). Barbara has several ancillary positions, among others as a member of the task force of the Ministry of Agriculture that aims to increase the earning potential of circular farming, a member of the Monitoring Committee Corporate Governance Code and member of the Dutch Committee for Entrepreneurship.

Hanneke Faber
Hanneke Faber is a global business leader, brand builder and tech innovator with more than 25 years of international experience in the FMCG and (e)retail industries. She first joined Unilever as President Europe in January 2018. Since May 2019, Hanneke is President Global Foods & Refreshment at Unilever. Prior to joining Unilever, she was chief Ecommerce & Innovation Officer and Member of the Executive Committee at Ahold Delhaize from 2013 to 2016. Before joining Ahold Delhaize, Hanneke was the Vice President and General Manager of Global Pantene, Head & Shoulders and Herbal Essences at Procter & Gamble, where she began her career in 1992. She held other senior roles in marketing and general management in both Europe and the United States.

Hanneke was a 7-time Dutch national springboard diving champion. She attended the University of Houston (Texas, USA) on an athletic scholarship, and graduated summa cum laude with a BA and an MBA. As the first female leader to head up Unilever’s European business and a mother of three, gender diversity and inclusiveness in the workplace are close to Hanneke’s heart. Hanneke is on the advisory board for LEAD – Leading Executives Advancing Diversity – an industry group for the FMCG and retail sectors, and on the supervisory board of Bayer AG.

Leon Pieters
Leon is a Dutch citizen that has worked and lived a great part of his career outside of the Netherlands. He is partner within Deloitte Consulting and based out of Amsterdam. Leon is Deloitte’s Global Consumer Product Sector leader and coordinates the services Deloitte provide to many multinationals in this sector. He personally serves clients in the Beverage Industry. Leon is living in Rotterdam with his partner Richard for 21 years. Leon has a personal drive for providing fair chances to everyone and is actively promoting to “bring your authentic self to the workplace”. Leon is part of the Diversity & Inclusion council in Deloitte, is sponsoring partner of Deloitte’s LGBT initiative and is a non-executive board member of Workplace Pride (a not for profit global organisation that foster LGBT equality in the workplace). 

Mel Raczak

Melissa Raczak
Melissa Raczak is an American and Consulting Partner of Deloitte and lives in the Netherlands since 1999.  Melissa is married to a Dutchman and has two daughters of 16 and 15 years old.  Raised in the suburbs of Chicago, she graduated from University in Tennessee and after meeting her Dutch boyfriend she moved to Amsterdam to work for Andersen Business Consulting. 

In her early career, she was an auditor and later was part of a post-merger integration where she started to implement ERP technologies and has been working with clients in Technology, Media and Telecommunications.  Melissa’s career has focused on digital transformations, process optimization, post-merger integrations, new operating models and organization design. 

Her personal passion lies in leadership development and can often be found as a keynote speaker on topics around vitality, inclusion and diversity.  Melissa is an advocate to help women find their personal passion, build their confidence and to find balance in their lives to create success.

About UvA in Carré

'UvA in Carré' is organised by Amsterdam Business School and normally hosted by Royal Theater Carré. Alumni, employees and relations of the Amsterdam Business School, and students of MSc in Business Administration and the Executive Programme in Management Studies are invited to attend. The lectures will take place in Pathé Tuschinski or Royal Theater Carré on Fridays from 13:00-15:00.
