Business Administration (MBA)

Students and alumni

Who are your fellow students?

Deciding on an MBA may not be an easy task. A well-designed curriculum and expert lecturers are of course crucial in developing your knowledge and skills, but your fellow students also play a key part in your learning experience. For 12 or 24 months, you will follow the same path, sharing and exchanging your views, questions, insights and experiences.

Class profile

To optimise your learning experience, we prefer to keep our classes small and personal. At the same time, we arrange for students from different backgrounds to team up, making sure that your learning curve is steep and interactions with fellow students are interesting as well as fun.

Testimonials

Our students and alumni work in various functions and organisations. How did they experience the Amsterdam MBA? What did the programme do for their career?

Yasemin Oruc, full-time MBA alumnus: 'I believe in taking every opportunity to learn and gain new experience. I decided to pursue an MBA degree to increase my managerial experience with more academic and theoretical tools and practices.

Amsterdam is my hometown and I moved back here after living abroad for over five years. I am looking forward to continuing my career here. Amsterdam has developed over the past years into a true financial centre playing an important role for the Netherlands, Europe and even the world. Many international companies are opening offices in Amsterdam, contributing to the international image of the city.'

Raoul Nijhoff, part-time MBA alumnus: 'Before my introduction to the business environment, I spent six years from 1998 to 2004 in a Dutch army special operations unit. During my education at the military academy I was given the opportunity to join the Royalty and Diplomatic Corps Protection Department as a risk control specialist. It was after 4 years in this position that I found my current employer. I started as an area manager in the security division of the holding. And I currently hold the position of manager business development cross-sales at the company’s head office.'

Hossein Eraghi, full-time MBA alumnus: 'I started working in management consultancy several years ago. During the first eight years of my career in Iran, I was promoted from an assistant to a senior consultant. I then moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and worked for another 2 years there before I decided to join the Amsterdam Business School’s MBA programme. I felt I needed to refresh my academic background and gain a better understanding of the business world here in the west before pursuing a career in Europe.'

Zsuzsanna Ehl, part-time MBA alumnus: ‘I have been working with international companies for more than 10 years. While working for companies like ING and Accenture, my responsibilities included managing international ERP and other business systems implementations, supply chain management and setting up a shared finance centre. I currently work for Avanade.'
