NVAO assessment panel issues positive recommendation for MSc Law & Finance
An NVAO (Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders) assessment panel visited Economics and Business and the Faculty of Law on Thursday 12 April to assess the new joint MSc Law & Finance.
The panel held meetings with programme management, students, alumni, members of the Advisory Board, the Board of Examiners, and the programme committee, and lecturers. As a result of these meetings and the examination of additional documentation, the assessment panel has issued a preliminary positive recommendation.
With the NVAO likely to accredit the programme this summer, this means that the programme is expected to start in September of this year. The last details in the development of the programme are currently being finalised and the intention is to begin with at least 25 students (both Dutch and international).
Programme Director Prof. Marc Salomon and programme coordinator Nik de Boer (LLM) are extremely pleased with this result: “Over the past few years the programme has worked intensively in close collaboration with all the stakeholders from both faculties to achieve this great result. With NVAO accreditation, the programme will continue to develop into one of the leading programmes in Law and Finance.”
