Successful 2017 International American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association conference

From 3 to 5 July 2017 the Amsterdam Business School hosted one of the largest scientific real estate conferences: The 2017 International American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA) conference.

International research in real estate

The conference featured contributions centered on research in real estate economics, real estate finance and urban economics.
160 participants from more than 100 institutions attended 30 parallel sessions. Furthermore, the programme included two Keynote speeches from Paul Hilbers (Director Financial Stability at De Nederlandsche Bank) and David Gelter (professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology). The conference included several social events such as boat tours on the Amsterdam canals and a dinner at Het Scheepvaartmuseum.

Participants and organisers

Marc Francke and Martijn Dröes (both ABS) chaired the conference. Other ABS members of the organising committee were Peter van Gool, Frans Schilder, Marcel Theebe, Dorinth van Dijk and Lorena Zevedei.
