Why the Amsterdam MBA

Just a few of the reasons to choose the Amsterdam MBA

World-class rankings

The University of Amsterdam (UvA), the Amsterdam Business School (ABS), and the Amsterdam MBA programme rank among the best in the world. The Amsterdam Business School holds the prestigious Triple Crown status (AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA accredited).  Worldwide, only 1% (about 76) of all business schools/faculties with business programmes (approximately 14,000) have managed to achieve this prestigious status.
The QS World Ranking 2015/2016 lists the UvA as first in the Netherlands and 55 th in the world. In the 2014  Times Higher Education ranking of universities by reputation, the UvA is listed among the top 80. The ABS itself is ranked among the 'Elite Regional' business schools, and listed as #42 in Europe by QS in their Top MBA Global 200 Business Schools Report 2014/2015, up four places from 2013.

Small-scale, interactive classes

Class sizes are deliberately kept small, to ensure we can maintain the genuine personal approach that underpins all of the Amsterdam Business School’s success. Each year’s cohort comprises around 25 students, with no more than 4 or 5 per group for team projects. This intimate learning environment allows every student a chance to interact fully with staff and their peers, maximising learning potential and fostering a sense of investment and inclusion.

Career advancement

With access to top recruiters and extensive professional networks, 73% of our students receive an offer of employment within a month of graduation, jumping to 96% within three months. As well as enjoying your choice of job offers, there are enviable financial benefits too, with an average increase on pre-MBA salaries of 24.2%.

Personal one-to-one career guidance

Our careers office provides training and lectures from industry leaders and recruiters, along with tailored one-on-one guidance with your designated careers officer to help you develop a comprehensive plan for all your post-MBA goals.

Diverse student experience

Our classroom is a diverse and inclusive place, with 83% of our students coming from outside the Netherlands and a mix of genders and social backgrounds. Our students also come from a diverse range of industry sectors and bring an enriching variety of business insights with them as they set out to redefine their careers through this demanding and exciting qualification. But what unites them all is ambition, passion, intellectual spark and a hunger to push past creative and intellectual limits.
