Application & admission

The 5-step admissions process for our MIF programme has been designed to be fast and convenient. You will be coached at every step in order to complete your application. Are you ready for the next step?

Step 1: MIF CV Quick Scan

Before applying we would like to ask you to read our admissions requirements carefully. If you have read the admission requirements, but you are not sure if you are meeting the criteria, you can take the first step in the application process by completing the CVQuickscan to check your eligibility. The MIF admissions team will respond to your CV Quick Scan within three working days with further instructions on how to apply.

Step 2: Submit your online application

In order to complete your online application, we expect you to prepare the following documents:

  • Passport copy
  • One-page CV (resume)
  • One-page motivational letter (max. 500 words). Please explain what sets you apart from the competition, why you are looking into the executive Master in International Finance degree and what your post-MIF goals are.
  • Copies of transcripts and related diplomas from the highest university degree (all non-Dutch and non-English transcripts must be accompanied by a certified English translation)
  • Analytical test results: GMAT/ GRE (if applicable)
  • English proficiency test results: TOEFL/ IELTS (if applicable)

For the complete application, we also require two recommendations from your professional environment (current or former manager, supervisor, client, a senior colleague, etc.). Those recommendations can be filled out by your referees and emailed to us separately. Please ask your referee to download the MIF recommendation form (pdf), fill it out and email it to us at

Step 3: The ABS Assessment (video essay questions)

After submitting your application, you will be informed whether you are selected to complete the ABS Assessment. Please note this assessment contains three video questions. We will ask you to record your answers accordingly. You will receive a separate email inviting you to complete the ABS Assessment. You should allocate about 30 minutes for completing that part.

Step 4: Admissions interview

After receiving your responses from the ABS Assessment and a positive outcome from reviewing your full profile, the following step is the MIF admissions interview. Interviews are scheduled on campus or via Skype. Interviews are 30 minutes and are conducted by an MIF Admissions Board member who has reviewed your application files. The admissions interview will focus on your skillset, motivation, and your professional goals.

Step 5: Final decision

The Admissions Board decides within 10 working days about your admission to MIF programme.

We are looking forward to reviewing your application and hopefully inviting you to join the class starting in September 2018.

Good luck!
